How we source

Every piece on Distinctive Pieces comes from one of 2 places: Charity organisation raising money or garage sell. My husband goes to most of these places, often early mornings, to get there first.

Nothing is bought sight unseen. He inspects every joint, test every lamp and wire, and sit with each piece in his studio before it goes up for sale.

What makes the picks special

We not trying to flip volume. We trying to find the one teak chair in a hall of plastic ones, the one ceramic vase that someone's grandmother loved. If I wouldn't put it in my own home, it doesn't get listed. It also makes the process worthwhile because I am helping raising money for charity organisation.
